Jouwaii/Eden Days

JOUWAII
The aim of the festival is to rehabilitate, preserve and promote traditional African games, board games such as wrestling sports, but also board games and dance.

JOUWAII's main objective is to discover the social and cultural richness and the anthropological value of this playful universe.

Born in one of the countries of Africa, awale, yoté, Ya-kabati kabatiya, woure, etc. are ancestral games reserved sometimes more specifically for children, women or men of the village. More than just everyday hobbies, these have a symbolic, economic, etc.
Singer
Their safeguard and their popularization in Europe makes it possible to arouse curiosity and new imaginaries, questioning and dialogues, joyful interactions between the various African communities living here and the citizens of Brussels, and in so doing to promote living together.

For 48 hours we offer entertainment sessions, music, dance and other activities.
